Mental Health Declaration
At The Soul Man Scotland, we place mental health and well‑being at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that many people who come to us for spiritual guidance are in transitional phases of life — grieving, seeking clarity, feeling lost, carrying emotional stress, or navigating personal challenges.
We operate with kindness, compassion, empathy, honesty, respect, and consideration — principles that guide our work in readings, training, events, and interactions with the public.
Our Commitments
We are committed to:
Providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for everyone — whether in‑person or online.
Ensuring our team maintains an awareness of mental health during our operations.
Being mindful of our role and limits as spiritual practitioners, and not offering services outside our scope.
Signposting and referring anyone in need of specialised support to trained professionals or appropriate organisations.
Maintaining ongoing learning and development to serve our community responsibly and ethically.
Upholding our company mission, ethos, and core values — especially kindness, respect, empathy, consideration, honesty, and understanding.
Here’s what this means:
Our spiritual services — including tarot, tea leaf, mediumship, and intuitive guidance — are intended to provide insight, reflection, and perspective. They support personal exploration, meaning, and spiritual curiosity, but they are not mental health treatment or therapy.
While we are trained to offer compassionate space and grounding support, we are not mental health professionals, and we do not offer clinical diagnosis, therapy, or psychological treatment. Anyone experiencing mental health concerns, crisis, or distress should seek help from qualified professionals who specialise in mental well‑being.
Spiritual exploration can be meaningful, healing, and transformative. But it should complement — not replace — professional mental health care when needed. If in doubt, always choose to speak to someone trained to help in a clinical context.
We are here to walk with you in your journey with respect, empathy, and care — and we honour the courage it takes to seek help in whatever form you need.
Our Company Mission
To help and empower people to be the best versions of themselves spiritually, emotionally and physically.
Our Ethos and Core Values
To treat each other and our customers with kindness, consideration and respect, in a way that is honest and transparent, and done with empathy and consideration.
Kindness
The centre of everything we are, we are powered by kindness. Everything we do comes back to being kind. the way we speak to each other and our customers should always be kind and compassionate.
Respect
We must respect each other's feelings in the way we act and speak. Always remembering that even if we need to be honest and have difficult conversations at times, that it is done with kindness.
Empathy
Having the ability to be empathetic and consider each other's feelings and putting ourselves in the other person's shoes is always at the forefront of our minds at work - showing true empathy rather than sympathy.
Consideration
Careful thought, typically over a period of time. Gathering your own feelings about how something is making you feel and speaking about things rather than letting them fester. Think how the other person may be feeling.
Honesty
Above all, always being honest and speaking about things as they happen, not ignoring how we feel but always using all of the above when we have to talk to each other. Remembering to treat each other with kindness, respect, empathy, consideration and honesty.
Understanding
Understanding how others may be feeling, especially if they have been stressed, or acted in a way that may make you feel uncomfortable. We will cultivate a positive working relationship with them and each other.
