What do you do at The Soul Man?!
We are a Spiritual Hub offering psychic and Mediumship readings, Reiki, and selling spiritual items such as crystals and Tarot cards. The Soul Man, Steven, is a leader, teacher and Reiki master and also operates our Spiritual Training Academy, delivering Mediumship, Psychic and Reiki classes and course throughout the year. AND we have the Good Vibes Coffee Shop where we’re selling delicious coffee and cakes, made with love.
Do I have to book to visit?
We strongly recommend booking your Readings and your Classes/Course! Head over to our Book page where you’ll find everything we offer. We cannot guarantee a space for readings if you walk-in, however you might see some pop-up walk in days advertised on our socials!
You don’t have to book to visit our coffee shop! Pop in for sit in or takeaways anytime.
Do you accept card payments?
Yes, we accept card payments and cash payments.

Do I pay a deposit?
Yes. All bookings now require a non‑refundable deposit of 50% of the reading price to secure your appointment. This helps cover our staff rota, supports our readers’ time and energy, and ensures we can continue offering our services sustainably.
Your deposit is non‑refundable if you cancel up to two weeks before your booking. We also will not refund no-shows. This policy is in place to honour the time and energetic preparation of our team. Thank you for your understanding.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
Because we plan staff and reader schedules in advance and operate on the principle of respectful energy exchange, the deposit is non‑refundable if you cancel up to two weeks before your booking.
If you cannot attend your session, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer the space to someone else. Call us during opening hours - 0131 241 3058, email Tamzin@thesoulmanscotland.com, or messages our socials.
What if a reading doesn’t ‘work’ energetically?
We understand that sometimes blocked or misaligned energies can affect how a reading flows — this is a natural part of spiritual work.
If you feel the reading did not resonate, you are entitled to one rearranged session with a different reader.
Your deposit will carry over to this rescheduled session.
If the second reading still does not work energetically, you will not be asked to pay the remaining balance, but the deposit will not be refunded. This honours the time and energy the readers have already given.
Our intention with this policy is to support a fair and balanced energy exchange for clients and readers alike.
Can I book for a particular reader?
Yes — you can request a reader when booking, but we cannot always guarantee specific availability due to differing shifts and schedules. We will always do our best to honour requests. If you book directly with The Soul Man, he will conduct your reading.
What is the age limit?
We do not do readings for anyone under the age of 16. If you are 16-18 years old, we will do a Tea Leaf or Tarot reading as long as there is an adult over 18 years with you.

Can I record the reading?
As our tables are in open space, we ask that no recording devices are used during open readings to respect others’ privacy. If you are in a private room, you may record only with clear permission from your reader.
Can I make a group booking?
For bookings of groups of 5 or more, we ask that you email us at - tamzin@thesoulmanscotland.com - and we can arrange this.
Do you do house parties?
Unfortunately we do not offer house parties, we only offer readings from our shop.

I don’t drink tea, can I still get a tea leaf reading?
Yes! We offer alternative drink options and your reader will guide you through the experience.
Will I be guaranteed to get spirit through in a reading?
Not all readings are designed for spirit connection. Please check the description of your chosen reading before booking, as some are focused more on insight, reflection, or other spiritual guidance.
What happens in a reading?
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed and offered a warm drink, helping you to relax and settle in. Your reader will then guide you through your session at your table.
Each reading is unique, and the experience can vary depending on your energy, the energy of the space, and the tools being used — whether Tea Leaves, Tarot, or Spirit connection. The reader will tune into your energy and the energies around you to provide guidance, insight, and reflection.
