Do you need to be psychic to dabble in Spiritual practises?
If you think tarot, tea leaves, dowsing and other spiritual practises are occult art forms reserved only for those who have intuition, let me tell you that you are wrong.
Divination is the practice of seeking knowledge of the unknown or the future (I’d like to add that the future is based on your decisions and free will so it can be somewhat changeable). It is also the practice of determining the cause of events and recognising patterns that can help you navigate through the highs and lows of life.
Only in the last few hundred years have we forgotten these simple art forms as we have become all too reliant on technology. It would be common practice to go see a seer or wise woman/man in your community if you needed some guidance, many factors resulted in our practises becoming a shadow/taboo subject.
Some of these included the witch trials around the mid 1400s when hysteria took hold of Europe accusing many innocent healers and intuitives where sentenced to horrendous deaths often by the church, who opposed the natural more subtle arts and would make an example of these women (and some men) by drowning or burning, often with whole villages watching the public spectacle. How dare anyone seek anything other than the church for help in their lives?
It's no wonder that Spiritual practice was driven underground and feared, even now so many people are still terrified of the work we do. If it is done right, spiritual counselling using any form of divination is a transformative and eye opening experience, that’s why I put so much effort into getting it right both with our team and with the people enrolling in our Academy.
It is vitally important that the biggest part of any kind of training is understanding yourself and people, giving sound advice and helping people recognise where they need to change their behaviours to bring about sustainable change. You are the creator of your destiny and a good spiritual counsellor should be able to help you unlock all of your potential by making you aware of the path you've walked. As well as what you are doing in your present moment that will bring about a wonderful productive future and how you may need to alter certain aspects of how you live, work, play and love in order to bring what you want.
A reading should make you think about your life, take stock and make inspired change. It certainly shouldn't give you all the answers. Everyone can learn divination but might now want to go on to work with people and that's okay, you may just want to use divination for yourself and your family or friends. Think of it like mathematics, it's seeing patterns in things and understanding how to interpret it to meaning, or learning the melody of music or how to mix paint to create new colours. Intuition then starts to develop and before long we start to open up to a very different world, some people explain it as their eyes are opened to a new world, a higher power.
And that higher power keeps on delivering wonderful new experiences. Before long you become highly sensitive and aware of your own energy and how things affect you.
So if you are thinking you'd love to learn how to interpret cards, tea leaves or even dowsing then the answer is YES you can absolutely! And YES your psychic senses will awaken 10 fold, I've seen it many many times with people from all walks of life. Whether it be for fun or to start a spiritual career, it will take time and patience and everyone can do it.
